We are Wedgie UK, a small independent wooden handicrafts company. We have close ties with Sri Lanka, which is where our Wedgies are made.
WHAT?
Our tagline says "Wooden handicrafts with doodles of personality", and that is exactly what we do. We inject personality and life into all our products, taking inspiration from the modern, the retro, the cool, the not-so-cool, the famous, the not-so-famous, and stereotypes in general. Our aim is to deliver to you a high quality handmade product that consists of good design, quality craftsmanship, and something that will ultimately bring a smile to your face!
WHERE?
We are a UK based company. Our Wedgies are imported from various regions throughout Sri Lanka. At the moment you can find our products via our website; however we do hope to have some stockists in the near future.
WHY?
All our Wedgie door stoppers are handmade out of quality Aristonia wood. We then use superior craftsmanship to carve and paint the Wedgies. We pay a fair days wage for a fairs days work. The suppliers we use are officially fair trade certified. We firmly believe that each stage of the process of turning out these beautiful Wedgie door stopper most certainly helps elevate the standard of living of everyone involved in it.
